The pool is a living organism that is exposed to weather conditions, micro-particles and micro-organisms. 1. Pool chemicals to adjust the pH. The pH of the water is perhaps the most important parameter that must be maintained at desirable levels as it directly affects the performance of the chlorine's disinfecting ability.

pH Minus: It is used to restore the pH of the water to normal levels, when it is measured and found at values ​​greater than 7.4

pH Plus: It is used to restore the pH of the water to normal levels, when it is measured and found at values ​​lower than 7.2

2. Disinfection Chemicals. In most cases water disinfection is done with chlorine based products. With the violent chlorination of the water (shock treatment) we achieve the immediate disinfection and extermination of microorganisms, while with slow-dissolving chlorine we prevent the growth of other microorganisms.

Granular Chlorine Dichlorine 55%: Consists of white highly soluble granules that are placed in the skimmer or overflow channel and dissolve quickly releasing free chlorine and immediately disinfecting the water and freeing it of biological agents

Chlorine in trichlor tablets 90%: Consists of white 200gr slow-dissolving chlorine tablets. They continuously release chlorine to achieve water disinfection. It is placed inside the skimmers, the overflow channel or in special tablet chlorinators. A chlorine multi-tablet version is also available which also contains an algicide to prevent algae growth and a flocculant to keep the water crystal clear. They also have a stabilizer that keeps chlorine levels at the right levels.

Sodium Hypochlorite: It is chlorine in liquid form (NaOCl) and is specially designed for use with automatic dosing systems

3. Additional pool chemicals. All other chemical products that are used either regularly or on occasion belong here.

Algicide: Available in liquid form and used to prevent algae from forming on the bottom and walls of the pool.

Flocculant: Available in liquid form and used to coagulate suspended particles. It keeps the water crystal clear. Thorough wiping is required after use

Pool chemicals are used to adjust the pH of the water, disinfect through chlorine or another sanitizing agent, prevent algae growth, and maintain water clarity.
